Rules: Terms & Conditions:1. Please read these Terms and Conditions (the ?Terms and Conditions?) carefully. By entering this competition (the ?Competition?), you will be deemed to have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and be bound by them.
2. The Competition is open from 6th July 2012 at 1200 hrs and will close on 20th July 2012 at 1200 hrs (the ?Competition Period?).
3. The promoter of this Competition is STUDIOCANAL Limited (the ?Promoter?) in conjunction with Cineworld Cinemas (the ?Partner?).
4. The Competition is open to residents of the UK and Eire (Republic of Ireland) over eighteen (18) years of age, except for:
a. employees of the Promoter and their families; and
b. anyone else associated with this Competition, including but not limited to employees of the Partner, and their families.
5. Proof of age and eligibility may be requested.
6. The following constitutes the Competition instructions:
a. on Facebook, allow the Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World (the ?Film?) Facebook application (the ?Application?) to access your Facebook account;
b. through the Application, select your preferred cinema; and
c. share this preference with as many Facebook friends as possible and ask them to vote for your cinema preference.
7. By entering this Competition, you agree to allow the Application to access your Facebook data and security settings in order to automatically submit your name, email address, cinema preference and votes. For the avoidance of doubt, your entry must include your name and email address for the Application to work and for you to validly enter the Competition.
8. Only one entry to the Competition per person is permitted. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced, defamatory, fraudulent or corrupted entries will not be accepted.
9. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for lost entries (including but not limited to any inability to submit entries as a result of (but not limited to) computer service, systems or server failures, errors, interruptions, defects, delays or any other technical malfunctions) and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
10. In relation to the First Prize (as detailed and defined below), there will be one individual winner (the ?First Prize Winner?). The First Prize Winner will be the valid entrant who (at the end of the Competition Period) has encouraged the highest number of his or her friends to (i) join the Application and (ii) vote for a cinema through the link on their wall.
11. In relation to the Second Prize (as detailed and defined below), there will be one individual winner (the ?Second Prize Winner?). The Second Prize Winner will be selected at random from all those valid entrants (at the end of the Competition Period) who have voted for the cinema that received the most votes during the Competition Period.
12. Both the First Prize Winner and Second Prize Winner together shall be collectively referred to as the ?Winners?.
13. The Winners will be notified that they have won the Prizes (as defined in clause 18 below) by way of the contact details provided with their entries within a reasonable period of time following the Competition Period.
14. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Unsuccessful entrants will not be contacted.
15. The Winners must respond in writing (via email) within forty eight (48) hours upon being notified by the Promoter that they have won the Competition (the ?Confirmatory Message?).
16. The Confirmatory Message must state the individual Winner?s full name and postal address.
17. The First Prize Winner will receive a ?JVC LT-42TG30J 42" LCD TV? (the ?First Prize?).
18. The Second Prize Winner will receive tickets to a private screening of the Film ?Seeking a Friend for the End of the World? (the ?Private Screening?), to take place at the cinema they originally selected on the Application as their preference (the ?Second Prize? and, together with the First Prize, the ?Prizes?).
19. The Private Screening shall be for the film ?Seeking a Friend for the End of the World? on a Saturday or Sunday morning (10/10.30am) for the enjoyment of the Second Prize Winner and up to ten guests of the Second Prize Winner?s choosing (the ?Guests? or, singularly, a ?Guest?), provided that:
a. the Second Prize Winner will be entitled to a private screening on a Saturday/Sunday morning (10/10.30am) valid for four weeks following prize being awarded.
b. the Second Prize Winner must only invite Guests who meet the age classification of the Film;
c. the Second Prize Winner is responsible for ensuring that, where relevant and appropriate, parental and/or legal guardian consent has been obtained for any Guest to attend the Private Screening; and
d. the Promoter and Partner withhold the right to (i) require proof of age and eligibility of any Guest, and (ii) deny entry and access to any Guest both before and during the Private Screening.
20. If Winners cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made to do so, or if any Winners do not send a Confirmatory Message in accordance with clauses 15 and 16 above, the Promoter reserves the right to offer either the applicable Prize to either:
a. in relation to the First Prize, the entrant with the next highest amount of cinema preference shares on Facebook friends? walls; or
b. in relation to the Second Prize, another entrant selected at random from all valid entrants during the Competition Period who share the Application?s most popular cinema preference on his or her Facebook friends? walls.
21. The Prizes are subject to availability and are non-transferable. No cash alternative will be offered.
22. In relation to the Second Prize:
a. tickets to the Private Screening are non-transferable;
b. tickets to the Private Screening shall not be sold to any third party;
c. tickets to the Private Screening shall not be exchanged for any other prize or opportunity with the Promoter, the Partner or any third party; and
d. there will be no financial alternative to the Second Prize.
23. The Promoter will arrange for fulfilment of the Prizes by the Winners, and may put a third party in direct contact with the Winners to arrange fulfilment of the Prizes.
24. All other costs associated with the Prizes (other than the Prizes themselves) shall be the responsibility of the Winners.
25. The Winners agree to take part in any publicity reasonably required by the Promoter.
26. If, due to circumstances beyond the Promoter?s control, the Promoter is unable to provide any of the Prizes to the Winners, the Promoter reserves the right to award substitute prizes of equal or greater value. You acknowledge and agree that the Prizes are subject to any additional terms and conditions of the suppliers of the Prizes and/or any relevant third party, including the Partner.
27. The Promoter reserves the right to change, modify, delay or cancel this Competition, in the Promoter?s sole discretion. You agree that in such circumstances no liability shall attach to the Promoter.
28. The Winners agree that the Promoter and its associated affiliates and subsidiaries and any other sponsors and providers of the Prizes (including the Partner and any relevant third parties) shall have no liability in connection with acceptance, use, enjoyment of and attendance at any of the Prizes, save that no party limits or excludes its liability for (i) death or personal injury due to its own negligence, (ii) fraud or (iii) any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
29. You acknowledge and agree that the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry or entrant that breaches any of these Terms and Conditions.
30. The Promoter will not be liable for any delay in performing (or any partial or total failure to perform) any of its obligations to the Winners.
31. You acknowledge and agree that your personal information will only be shared with the Promoter?s competition partners (including the Partner), with the Promoter?s agents to the extent reasonably necessary to manage your entry and participation in the Competition or, where required, to a legal or regulatory body.
32. English law applies to these Terms and Conditions and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts shall prevail.
